D.C. students resist cuts in education
Students from the University of the District of Columbia
attend Washington, D.C., city council meeting March 16 to
protest plan to relocate the school, the city's only public
institution for higher education. Washington, D.C., mayor
Anthony Williams announced the proposal along with a plan to
drastically reduce the academic programs offered by the
university, which have already been cut nearly in half.
