Correction
In editing the article "Report shows UK cop racism, attacks
rights" in the March 22, 1999, issue, the Militant incorrectly
stated that "Stephen Lawrence was stabbed to death by a racist
gang...as police looked on." The cops arrived on the scene
after the stabbing and looked on as Lawrence bled to death.
