Now the Department of Labor has stepped in, saying it will conduct a nationwide audit of the company's practices, according to a February 15 Reuters news wire report.
The audit will review pay practices covering processing plant workers and catching crews. The workers' lawsuit contends the bosses failed to pay them for all hours worked and did not pay them enough for overtime. The Labor Department's investigation is to cover 51 plants.
