Unionists strike Boeing plant in California |

LONG BEACH, CaliforniaMembers of United Auto Workers Local 148 picket outside a Boeing plant here. Some 1,700 union members struck the plant, which manufactures the C-17 cargo plane, on May 11. They had voted by an 80 percent majority to reject the companys contract offer, which sought concessions in pensions and medical benefits.
