The article "Ed Shaw: 50 years in fight for socialism," in Militant issue no. 44 in 1995, contained some inaccuracies about the 1954 Square D strike in Detroit. Shaw worked at a factory across the street from the Square D Co., not at the struck plant. Square D produced electronic systems, not automobile seats. The same article implied that Shaw visited Cuba in 1959. There is no record of such a trip. Shaw did travel to Cuba the following year and then toured the U. S. in the fall of 1960 and in 1961 speaking about the Cuban revolution. During the tour, which was sponsored by the Fair Play for Cuba Committee, Shaw spoke on the same platforms with Robert F. Williams.

The article "Sales drive ends in success!" in issue no. 45 gave the wrong number of Militant readers who participated in the subscription drive in Greece. The article should have stated, "Four regular supporters in Greece report they ended the drive with daily sales and got three other people involved in the effort."

The "Pathfinder around the world" column in issue no. 46 incorrectly reported that 40,000 people attended the San Francisco Bay Area Book Festival in November. According to the organizers, 20-25,000 people attended the event.
