Norberto Codina discusses art, literature & culture in Cuba today. On November 11, Norberto Codina, editor of La Gaceta de Cuba, began a U.S. speaking tour on campuses, cultural centers, and other events in the Chicago area. La Gaceta is published six times a year by the National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (see ad on page 10). Speaking to some 40 students and others at DePaul University in Chicago November 11, his first speaking engagement, Codina described a recent flowering of art and literary debate in Cuba as "one of the greatest moments in Cuban art and literature."
