Protests denounce anti-Muslim movie
More than 200 people picketed AMC 8 Theaters in Miami
November 7 to protest the portrayal of Muslims as terrorists in
the new movie The Siege. The demonstration was called by the
Islamic Council of North America and the Islamic Centers of
South Florida. "I think it is important that people not
stereotype different races, creeds, and nationalities," said
Mahasin Shahid, one of many high school students to join the
action. Similar protests took place across the United States.
