At the conference, capital fund director Dave Prince announced that four workers at United Airlines who will be taking other jobs to strengthen socialists' work in eight industrial unions have pledged their "Employee Stock Ownership Plan" money -blood money resulting from a concession contract. A pledge from a fifth United worker brings the total contribution from this source to $46,000. So far $281,000 has been raised, a $15,000 increase since last week's report. An additional $69,000 is needed by January 1 to pay the balance owed on the CTP machine.
