Cuba sets example in response to Hurricane Wilma |

Rescue teamslike one above, in action October 24evacuated some 250 people from flooded homes in Havana in aftermath of Hurricane Wilma. There were no deaths or major injuries in Cuba. Nearly 700,000 people were evacuated across western Cuba as Wilma approached. In Mexico, six people were killed and 350,000 left homeless. At least six deaths have been reported in Florida after the storm, and power was cut to millions of homes.
