Question on workers states
I'm writing to ask you to clarify an important political question. For many years Marxists referred to the Soviet Union and its allies as "workers states." The regimes, of course, were overthrown a few years ago, but it's pretty clear that capitalism has not been restored, at least not completely, and it's also interesting that many of the former "Communist" parties have won elections in countries like Bulgaria, Poland, and elsewhere. So my questions isare these countries still "workers states," or are they somewhere between workers states and capitalism? I know you've written about this in the past, but I haven't found much literature in recent years on this.
