Protesters in Canada say ‘Stop killing Tamils’ |

VANCOUVER, British ColumbiaSome 200 demonstrators, above, marched and rallied here March 28 to protest the Sri Lankan governments war against the Tamils, an oppressed nationality that makes up 18 percent of the population of the island. We call on the Canadian government to oppose this war, rally organizer Sue Nathan said. Similar protests have taken place in Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, and Calgary as well as Australia, Belgium, Britain, New Zealand, Switzerland, and the United States.
