OMAHA, Neb.—Jacob Perasso, Socialist Workers Party candidate for Omaha City Council District 4, addresses March 24 rally of postal workers here protesting plans to cut service to five days a week. “This rally is an example of the kind of protests we need more of,” Perasso said. “In the factories we are also working faster and longer hours. The bosses are driving down our standard of living. We need to build a movement to fight against this.” Perasso called for a public works program to put millions to work at union-scale wages. —LAURA GARZA Front page (for this issue) | Home | Text-version home |
