SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — “Our backs are against the wall and we had to fight for this,” said driver Larmart Crochett (right), picketing here along with Modesto Conception June 1 against Park ‘N Fly, a parking lot for travelers flying out of the San Francisco International Airport.
The Teamsters contract expired Oct. 31, 2011. The 25 drivers and five cashiers walked out May 24 against company concession demands that include cutting back vacations and paid holidays. —WILLIE COTTON Related article: Locked-out Steelworkers in Ontario win solidarity Front page (for this issue) | Home | Text-version home |
