Supporters of the Militant in Seattle have set a good example. “Some 40 people attended a Militant Labor Forum here Aug. 10 on ‘The Uprising in Egypt and the Working Class,’ featuring Mary Martin, Socialist Workers candidate for mayor, who took part in the Militant’s recent fact-finding trip to Egypt,” wrote John Naubert. “Participants contributed a total of $1,700 to help pay for the trip.” In the Aug. 12 issue, the Militant appealed for funds to help defray the trip’s expenses.
