Aluminum workers in Iran fight for union, job safety
Free Union of Iranian Workers

Sept. 9 rally at Arak Aluminum Company in Iran’s Markazi province, on 42nd day of hunger strikes and other protests by 4,000 workers. They are demanding higher wages, job safety and end to harassment by bosses, who are trying to intimidate workers to end protest by levying security-related charges. Tehran regime often accuses its opponents of supporting Israel, a charge with serious penalties. But growing numbers of workers there oppose the regime’s war on Israel, showing workers in Iran are Israeli toilers’ strongest allies.
