How can we stop high rents?
The landlord at our apartment building has tried to evict me and other tenants in order to be able to raise the rents. We’ve fought back. My eviction has been dismissed for now and I was allowed to stay. But the battle is not over.
The landlords are making it difficult for tenants to live comfortably in their homes. No matter what laws are passed, the rents increase every year.
I’m a fighter and proud that my stepfather was one of the hotel workers who went on strike and won a victory against Marriott last year. My question is, what can we do about the high rents? We need to get control over this.
