We’re inviting you to join the Socialist Workers Party’s spring campaign to expand the reach of the Militant, the SWP’s candidates for office, books by revolutionary working-class leaders, and to win contributions to this year’s Militant Fighting Fund. The eight-week effort runs March 14 to May 12.

The campaign takes place as Washington has launched a bloody war against Iranian sovereignty, stepped up efforts to overthrow Cuba’s socialist revolution and invaded Venezuela to kidnap its president, Nicolás Maduro, and Cilia Flores. The U.S. bosses’ war moves reflect the deepening rivalries among capitalist rulers worldwide that threaten a third world war. This mounting aggression deals blows to the desire of the working class to live in peace.

The only force that can stay these attacks is working people advancing the class struggle and charting a course to take political power into our own hands. Getting the Militant and books by Socialist Workers Party leaders and other revolutionaries is essential to building a tested leadership that can make this possible.

Israel continues to defend its right to exist as a safe haven from Jew-hatred and new pogroms, as it is doing in its defensive war against the rulers in Tehran.

Working people in Ukraine refuse to bow to Moscow’s demands to abandon the defense of their country’s sovereignty. The Militant explains why these struggles are in the interest of workers everywhere.

Working people in Cuba are showing they will fight to defend their socialist revolution. In response to Washington’s threats, the SWP and the Militant helped initiate “Hands off Cuba!” picket lines, rallies and other actions. They are in solidarity with the Cuban people, and get out the truth about what their revolution accomplished and why it’s an example for workers everywhere to emulate.

The Militant is a unique and invaluable source of news on today’s labor struggles. Getting it into the hands of fellow workers is vital for building solidarity and strengthening the labor movement.

Along with books by party leaders, the SWP’s candidates explain that the Democrats and Republicans only offer solutions that deepen the impact of today’s capitalist crisis on working people. SWP campaigners offer a road forward to replace the rule of the capitalist war makers, and explain why you should join the SWP to help make that possible.

We’re finding growing interest among working people, as we sell subscriptions and books on workers’ doorsteps, at strike picket lines, union rallies, actions in defense of immigrant workers and more.

We’re also expanding the Militant’s circulation to workers behind bars, as well as defending their right to get the paper, as we’re doing today against an unconstitutional prison ban in Florida.

The goals of the international campaign are to sell 1,300 Militant subscriptions and the same number of books, which are all offered at a discount. SWP campaigners will be taking advantage of political openings to raise $165,000 for the Militant. The subscription, books and Fighting Fund campaign will be joined by the Communist Leagues in Australia, Canada and the U.K.

You can help take this campaign over the top! To get involved, contact the Militant distributors nearest you.
