A Capital Fund to make possible the continued production of Pathfinder books and pamphlets will be launched at the March 11 and 18 meetings in New York City and Seattle being organized by the communist movement.
“Capital contributions are necessary to finance the next steps in Pathfinder’s long-term publishing efforts,” Dave Prince, Capital Fund director, said in an interview. Prince explained the Pathfinder volunteers organized to put new books into formatted, digital form, ready for publication.
The Pathfinder Reprint Project is also turning out a growing number of titles from Pathfinder’s extensive catalog.
“Capital Fund contributions are needed now to assure the long-range stability of this book production pipeline,” Prince said.

Pressure is mounting against the white supremacist regime now ruling Zimbabwe (Rhodesia). In the wake of the setback to American imperialism and Apartheid South Africa in Angola, the Zimbabwean freedom fighters have escalated their campaign to oust the colonial-settler regime of Ian Smith and to win Black majority rule.
Beginning in February, the Zimbabwean guerrillas increased activity. This followed a recent influx of freedom fighters, who crossed into the country from camps in neighboring Mozambique. The Rhodesian military has been unable to halt the movement of guerrillas into the country.
The London Sunday Times reported Zimbabwean “sympathies lie overwhelmingly with the guerillas,” adding, “each week more disaffected black youths are leaving to join them.”

The mounting opposition to the Korean War in the ranks of the British Labor Party was demonstrated by a great anti-war conference held in London Feb. 25. This conference was attended by 231 delegates from the London trade unions and Labor Party.
With only six opposing votes the conference voted the following resolution:
“This conference of delegates from the London Labour movement pledge itself to fight inside the movement for the ending of all war alliances with capitalist countries; the withdrawal of British forces from Korea; the granting of immediate independence to those colonial countries at present under British domination; and the concentration of the energies of the Labour Movement on securing the complete and utter defeat of capitalism and the Tory Party as our contribution to the building of a socialist world.”
