Latest issue of the Militant censored by Florida prison system. Prison officials have impounded some 18 issues over the last two years, violating constitutional rights of both the Militant and its subscribers behind bars. State authorities have rescinded all but five of the bans. Prison officials around the country are restricting access to books and periodicals.

Florida prison officials have been stepping up their censorship of the Militant. Most recently, they impounded the Sept. 17 issue and the newspaper is fighting to overturn the decision. At least 18 issues of the Militant have been impounded there…
